The Doula Partnership

The Doula Partnership is a collaboration between Cayuga Community Health Network (Cayuga County), Seven Valleys Health Coalition (Cortland County), Herkimer County Health Department, and the Madison County Rural Health Council.

Through the partnership, we are able to connect Cayuga County residents with local Doulas to support them on their pregnancy journeys.

To connect, please email our Doula Coordinator, Holly, today!

*CCHN’s Doula Program is funded through a Health Equity Innovation Award from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

What are the benefits to working with a doula?

Studies have shown that with a doula present during labor, women are less likely to need pain-relief medications and less likely to have a cesarean birth.

Women also reported having a more positive childbirth experience.

Check out DONA International’s page for more benefits of having a doula!
