Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training teaches you the skills necessary to be the first line of support for a person in need. If someone is experiencing something stressful, often the way we approach them can determine the outcome of the situation. Learning the proper body language, wording to use, and skills to listen well will assist with de-escalation and build trust between you and the person you are assisting. Through MHFA training, you will receive a better understanding of various mental health challenges and the many ways you can help them to help themselves.

Cayuga Community Health Network is now partnered with the Madison County Rural Health Council to provide Mental Health First Aid trainings both virtually and in-person. Learn more and register for trainings here
