Cancer Screening Outreach Program
Cancer is a disease that has impacted most of us in one way or another. Maybe a family member or a friend has been diagnosed; or maybe you yourself are at risk for developing or have already been diagnosed with cancer. Our Cancer Screening Outreach program can help you walk a path to a healthier life with a focus on education, overcoming barriers, and referrals to screening services.
Our program coordinator works to address and eliminate the barriers and disparities preventing Cayuga County residents from being screened for various cancers impacting our community. We currently have a strong focus on Colorectal Cancer Screening Awareness and education as it is the 2nd most prominent cancer impacting our community. However, we can assist you with information on how to access screenings for other cancers as well through the New York State Cancer Services Program.
Knowledge and action together are powerful. Reach out today to learn more about not only potential risk factors of Colorectal Cancer but also how and where to go to be screened.
